What is the SuperWisdom Foundation?

We seek to stir something within rather than impose another “teaching” from without, with all the subtle pressures for conformity and “loyalty.” J. Krishnamurti spoke with great power when he said, “To follow another, however learned and noble, is to block all understanding, isn’t it?”

We live in a time of dynamic and practical discoveries for wisdom, productive living and spiritual vitality. There have also been immense discoveries made in the “past” that have such significance they can never be outdated. All too often, spiritual organizations build traditions and structures around their diamonds.  At SuperWisdom Foundation we mine the diamonds by disregarding the fabricated walls of isolation and “superiority” found so often in the spiritual landscape.

If we had an image, or icon, that could best illustrate the work at SuperWisdom Foundation, it would need to be two — the microscope for seeing near, and the telescope for seeing far.

Who is Tom Russell?

Tom hosts this website and directs the activities of the nonprofit SuperWisdom Foundation. An entrepreneur, author and speaker, Tom has appeared on more than 200 radio and TV shows. He authored the beautifully bound SuperWisdom — Seven Vital Secrets for a Rich and Purpose-Filled Life. Tom’s work has been influenced dramatically by the teachings of author Vernon Howard, with whom he studied personally for twelve years.

If we establish a link between our site and SuperWisdom, what is a good way to describe the link?

How long has SuperWisdom hosted this website, and where are you?

We published the first SuperWisdom Newsletter in 1999 and began taking book orders over the internet the same year. The IRS granted official 501(c)3 nonprofit status in 2006. We reside in Payson, Arizona — a beautiful mountain town of pine trees, clean air and rich blue skies about 90 miles north of Phoenix.

How is SuperWisdom funded?

Proceeds from Gifts and Donations provide the financial support that makes this all volunteer effort possible.

No one receives a salary or expense account. All tax deductible gifts maintain and improve the infrastructure, publishing and carefully selected advertising to reach dedicated students of the inner life.
