See Through False Fronts
Tom Russell
A young boy went with his father to work one day. The father was a movie producer, and his work was designing movie sets. The particular set that day was an old, souther mansion, immaculate and huge. The boy did not understand that movie sets are fake fronts. The father and the boy approached the "mansion," and as they got closer the boy's excitement mounted. But when they entered the front door, the boy saw nothing. He was in open space! The mansion was not a real mansion at all; it only appeared that way from the front. His father explained how in making movies, you only design a facade, something which appears to be to the viewer, but in reality is not. Hearing this the boy understood. Spiritual Lesson: How many times has this happened to you? How many doors have you entered expecting to find something that would delight you, only to find emptiness? When are you going to finally learn that society is a movie front construction, having nothing of real value behind the surface front? You are not going to find happiness and contentment where it does not exist. You must strike out in a new direction even when you don't know exactly what direction that is. Here is a spiritual law: If you walk aawy from what is harming you, you automatically move in the right direction. Truth guarantees this.
