This page will point you to a few really good resources for lifting your writing and speaking to higher levels of effectiveness. These suggestions can save you time.

1. The Story Factor Someone wants to know the truth? Simple, just tell them, right? Not necessarily. A far more effective way to communicate is through stories and mental pictures. It's an art, and one that you can learn. Discover Annette Simmons really good book.

2. Your voice is your instrument. Learn to use it well with this important book: Change Your Voice - Change Your Life by Morton Cooper. You can also use the practical voice exercises in this book to further your work with spiritual awareness.

3. A great book of inspiration for writers is Brenda Ueland If You Want to Write. Written in 1938, the book captures the spirit of writing like nothing else I've read.

4. Here's a book on public speaking that is exceptional. Unfortunately it is out of print. However, if you act fast you can picked up a used copy of The Power of Eloquence. Learn the art of being concise and vivid. Check out The Power of Eloquence.

5. Do you do presentations? This book brings inspiration and science to the entire subject. I didn't really like the title, but I'm glad it didn't throw me. Check out Power of the Pitch by Gary Hankins. There's not a single unecessary word in this book.

6. How do you develop the power of simplicity in the midst of all this technology, and have the techology serve the message instead of the message serve the technology? Check out the blog: Presentation Zen. Also, this communications blog is quite useful.

7. Roger Ailes, author of You are the Message writes, "People who control the atmosphere don't change according to who's in the room. They are aware of the interests of the audience. But if they're at Windsor Castle, they don't grovel before the queen, nor do they talk down to the gardener or shoeshine man. They act comfortably, pretty much the way they would in the living room, no matter who they're with." Check out: You are the Message

8. When writing students asked Vernon Howard how he learned to write with such clarity and power, he recommended Rudolph Flesch. Check out How to Write, Think and Speak more Effectively.
